Thirteen years ago, not one Autograph mentioned digital signal processing. Much has changed since July 1992, most notably on the technology side. It is especially interesting to compare the 2005 edition with our first one, which had 17 participants, and consider how the changes mirror developments in hearing healthcare. Taken collectively, the two dozen or so Autographs in this section offer a picture of the industry as a whole. You might say that this section is like a gallery of miniature self-portraits. Just as each of us has a signature that is uniquely ours, so too each Autograph offers specific insights about the company that “signed” it. When we conceived of Autographs back in 1992, our goal was to provide a forum where manufacturers could share with our readers-their customers-something distinctive about themselves. Over the past 14 years, this special advertising section has been giving readers a personal look at the leading companies in the hearing industry.
It's July, which means it's time for Autographs.
